The United Way Waller County Conference Center is available for classes, trainings, board meetings, and special programs to qualified nonprofit and community organizations. Free meeting space is offered during regular United Way business hours and a modest security fee covers weekend usage.
United Way of Greater Houston’s Conference Center’s policies are to provide 501(c)3 organizations priority usage who are aligned with our agency mission to serve clients within our community. These organizations include direct health and human services, educational institutions, and governmental entities. Nonprofit organizations must provide a 501(c)3 tax-exempt status letter and current liability insurance.

Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Tuesday/Thursday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: Available upon request. Additional fees will apply.

Western Networking Alliance
The Western Networking Alliance is a network of nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and faith-based groups providing social services in Waller County and the surrounding areas. The group meets from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on the third Friday of scheduled months. Meetings are currently being held via telecommunication and in person. AVDA’s Rural Civil Legal Services Program creates a legal satellite program to offer civil legal services to victims of domestic abuse in Waller, Washington, Grimes, and Austin Counties, utilizing an attorney/paralegal team. It operates on a circuit service delivery model and focuses on providing trauma-informed supportive legal advocacy and representation to domestic violence survivors with Basic Civil Legal Services (125% above federal poverty) eligible family law cases having jurisdiction in the four identified counties.

The FAYS Program provides office-based counseling for youth experiencing issues related to school performance and family conflict, and a variety of other concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and social skills. DePelchin’s Parenting Help Program provides a one-on-one, home-based program for parents and caregivers to look at why children misbehave, how to get children to behave, what to do when children misbehave, and how to parent positively in real-world, everyday situations. Parenting Help is open to parents with a child ages 0-5 in the home in Waller County. Child must be demonstrating behavior issues that may include signs of aggression, getting in trouble at school, or other behavior problems that create concern or cause a parent to feel overwhelmed. Parenting Help services are offered in English and Spanish and are FREE to all families.
