A Guided Journey to Financial Stability

The challenges people face in reaching financial stability are often interconnected. We believe the solutions should be, too.

The Integrated Client Journey unites more than 100 nonprofit partners to help people connect with a variety of services based on their unique goals and needs.

What is the Integrated Client Journey?

The Integrated Client Journey (ICJ) combines a variety of social services and nonprofit resources to help people achieve their unique goals on their path to financial stability.

Service areas include financial stability, mental and physical health care, early childhood and youth development, and legal services. There are also safety net services to help with basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, and escape from violent situations such as domestic abuse and human trafficking.

Services are provided by our network of nonprofit partners to support clients as they progress through their journey.

How do I get started?

A Navigator will reach out to discuss your current and long-term goals, begin to build your pathway, and connect you with the right services for you and your family. Navigators can meet by phone, virtually, or in person in Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery, and Waller counties.

Need help now? Call 211.

Dial 211 for free and confidential help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in many languages.

How the Integrated Client Journey Works

Individuals or families ready for the full journey can receive support from a Navigator who serves as a personal guide. Working together, they will create a personalized plan for programs and services that will help meet their unique goals. Rather than addressing things separately, clients are connected with multiple United Way nonprofit partners as needed to find programs that will make it easier for our clients to engage across services.

Where are these services available?

The Integrated Client Journey operates across 12 priority regions within Fort Bend, Harris, Montgomery, and Waller counties.

Meet the Navigators

Navigators work one-on-one with individuals and families to determine their goals and build personalized pathways to achieve them. Navigators help ICJ clients identify and access programs and services that can support their needs and goals.

To prepare them to serve our community best, Navigators are trained on core coaching skills, implicit bias, motivational interviewing, cultural humility, trauma-informed care, various navigation tools, data tracking and assessments, how to make referrals, and other key tools.
