Want to know more? View the ICJ and navigation dashboard available on UWGH’s website
by clicking here. The dashboard provides a weekly update on the journey of clients working with
a navigator across their journey. The dashboard has four views:
- How did clients hear about ICJ?
- How many individuals are ready for the program?
- Where do the clients come from (by ZIP code and region)?
- What are the top referrals now? What are the clients' current top needs?
Update on ICJ Data Governance
The ICJ Governing Body met in August to continue its work as the main decision-making mechanism for the ICJ Data Collaboration. In the August meeting, United Way shared an
update on the progress of the ICJ Tech Tool build out into Marketplace Hub 2.0.
The ICJ Governing Body members discussed the current state of Marketplace Hub 1.0 with two aspects: backend data pipelines and expand data ecosystems.
Backend data pipelines:
The backend data pipelines create the ability to integrate with other systems from a specific funded partner. The data shared is outlined in the Data Sharing Agreement (DSA)
with each partner. The data shared provides the aggregate-level point of view for the client journey across multiple funded programs and services.
Expand data ecosystems:
The expansion into other data ecosystems creates the opportunity to leverage the ICJ Tech Tool to coordinate with efforts outside of the ICJ funded partner network. We have
successfully expanded into coordinated efforts with 211’s Strike Team and the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship (ASF). This has created a more seamless coordination of care across
the networks.
Data Safety Moment
Under the Data Safety Moment, UWGH will highlight cybersecurity, privacy, or data security related topics to support the safe and secure use of the ICJ Tech Tool.
The United Way of Greater Houston has seen increases of deepfake technology threats in the community and wanted to bring this information to our partners’ attention. According
to the National Security Agency (NSA), "the term 'deepfake' refers to multimedia that has either been synthetically created or manipulated using some form of machine or deep
learning (artificial intelligence) technology." A tip that will help you secure your information is that: United Way, and most places, will never call you for your screen name
or password to log into an account. Please always double check if someone reaches out to you for any type of secure information.

Update on ICJ Tech Tool
We are excited to share the latest updates to our ICJ Tech Tool, developed in collaboration with the Patient Care Intervention Center (PCIC) and United Way of Greater Houston!
Recently, we have improved the ICJ Tech Tool with enhanced notifications, updated pre-enrollment processes, new administrative tools, and better reporting capabilities.
Enhancements to Notifications
We've made several improvements to the notification system to help users stay informed and engaged:
-
Pre-Enrollment Reminders for UWGH Admins: Admins can now receive open pre-enrollment reminders, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination.
-
Program-Wide Notification Settings: We've added support for configuring notifications across the entire program, including overdue reminders for the
Self-Sufficiency and Well-Being Matrix (SSWB) and overdue reminders for open referrals for referral receivers.
-
Customizable Notification Settings: Enhanced settings allow for more tailored notifications, helping users manage their workflows more efficiently.
Enhancements to Pre-Enrollment
We've updated the pre-enrollment process to better understand how clients find our services:
-
"How Did You Hear About Us?" Field: Admins can now receive open pre-enrollment reminders, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination.
Enhancements to Administrative (Admin) Features
To support better documentation management and minimize changes made in error, we've introduced:
-
Client Transfer: Admins can now transfer enrolled clients to different navigators within the same organization or across different organizations,
facilitating smoother transitions and better coordination of care.
-
Confirmation of Major Changes to Household: When making a change to a household in the Demographics section that increases the count of persons by 2
or more, or increases the monthly income to $5,800 or more, the user will receive a warning message asking the user to confirm the change is correct.
Looking Ahead
Our teams are diligently working on several important updates and new features for the ICJ Tech Tool.
We are enhancing notifications, including the addition of pre-enrollment reminders and expanding access for 211 Texas / United Way HELPLINE managers to authorized
functionalities.
We're also developing backend data pipelines to integrate Apricot, Salesforce, Client Track, as well as Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems,
which will improve data flow and accessibility. Additionally, we are creating metrics and reporting capabilities specific to the ICJ Master Client Index (MCI), along with
enhanced auditing reports. To ensure a secure user experience, we are upgrading the platform's timeout and security features. Looking further ahead, we also aim to integrate
system-level data with the Coalition for the Homeless, enhancing our collaborative efforts.
The scheduled enhancements are designed to improve data management, security, and overall service delivery, ensuring the platform remains robust and user-friendly.
