"Each year, FMC Technologies and its employees step up to support United Way in an even bigger way," says Anna M. Babin, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Houston. "Their generosity and commitment to our community is inspiring, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.” FMC’s 2012 campaign was highlighted by an Olympic-themed kickoff event, their 26th annual golf tournament, a saltwater fishing tournament, a Veteran’s initiative, and several other exciting activities that engaged employees and educated them about United Way’s work in our community. This year, FMC Technologies challenged their employees to raise more than $900,000 through campaign events and personal donations. FMC’s employees stepped up to the challenge, raising $977,644. For meeting this goal, FMC Technologies agreed to match employee giving, resulting in FMC’s record contribution of $1,955,288 to United Way of Greater Houston.
We appreciate the leadership and support of FMC Technologies Chairman and CEO John Gremp and retired Chairman, President, CEO and United Way board member Peter Kinnear. We also thank Campaign Chair Steven Reinhardt and Campaign Co-Chair Carolyn Luomala, who provided strong leadership to an enthusiastic campaign committee. We congratulate the FMC Technologies team for an outstanding campaign. Thank you for doing something today to help United Way shape tomorrow! |
